About us

Carroll boatworks is a business owned and operated by myself for the past 5 years in the heart of central Florida.

As a woodworker and furniture designer over the past 25 years specializing in production with an eye for details, I decided to give platform and boat parts construction a try and the results have spoken for themselves.

You’ll always talk to the owner (me) when you email or call and always have your questions and concerns addressed with an urgency that’s well regarded.

If I can help with your next boating project or if you have any questions please feel free to reach out at anytime and happy boating!

REVIEWS

Troy just did a swim platform for my 91’ maristar 210 and to say I’m happy is an understatement. We were beyond happy with his professionalism and attention to detail.

Troy is great to work with. Awesome communication from the beginning of discussing the platform, follow ups regarding timing and shipping as well as a life line if you need any last minute installation tips. Our new platform from Carroll Boatworks is super solid and in my opinion better than what would have came factory.

– Charles H.

Thanks a million to Troy at Carroll Boatworks for dabbing our gorgeous new swim platform (wider and longer), some new step treads and matching gear shift knob for our ski brendella! Troy’s the man!

FAQ

How much is shipping?

Shipping rates really all depend on location and the platform being shipped, as we are located in Orlando Florida. The average rate though is between $180-250 for most of the northeast and some of the Midwest. California and the west coast will be higher.

How does my product ship?

After completed your product will be crated and shipped ups ground, for larger platforms freight may be required.

What if I don’t see my platform? Can it still be made?

Absolutely, platforms have specific curvatures that differ from year to year and manufacturer to manufacturer so if we don’t have your template we can make one together so your platform comes out perfect.

What wood is used?

When sourcing materials our first thought was teak but after finding out more information on the teak being used these days we decided to go another direction. When you hear the word teak you think of durability and beauty,  especially when looking at sports fishers and other luxury boats. Little do most people realize is that, that teak is “old growth” Burmese teak and is extremely expensive and even harder to source, and that is why most teak you find now is “new growth” teak grown at an extremely fast rate and therefore hindering its longevity and durability.  So with that we decided to go with Sapele. It is an African hardwood that has an amazing reputation for being stable, rot resistant, and just all around very very durable. We source quarter sawn pieces as well yielding in a tighter grain therefore creating more durability and rigidity than teak in our opinion.

How do I pay?

After dimensions and style have been chosen, we require a $200.00 deposit, then, after the platform is completed it will be quoted for shipping, that will be sent as the balance due. Once payment is received the item will be shipped and you will be provided tracking information. We accept Zelle, Venmo, cash app
